DEPENDENT CHILDREN APPEARING IN DEPARTMENT 95
This is to remind CSWs that they are required to be present any time a dependent child of the Juvenile Court appears in Department 95, the Mental Health Court. This would include writ of habeas corpus hearings, hearings for developmentally disabled children, medication hearings and hearings for children who are both a danger to self or others and developmentally disabled.
Hospital personnel are responsible for transporting the child to court and notifying CSWs of the date, time and place of the hearing.
This issuance supersedes and cancels FYI #92-02, on the same topic.
